| | "Christy" was my father's father's first
name after whom I was named. His first name came from the last name of
a branch of his and now my family tree.
 |
          | | It is my favorite uncle's middle name (my father's
          brother).
 |

          | | "Christy" means "Christ Bearer" while "John"
means "The Lord is Gracious". I would like to bear Christ to the
world in addition to benefiting from the Lord's grace.

          | | The first initials of J Christy
			reminds me of Jesus
Christ and the family of God into which I've been adopted.

          | | "John" grew up being the second son. In my younger
adult years, of all my siblings, I was the furthest away
from my parents. Due to the death of my older brother in 1984, I'm now
the eldest child. Since I've moved back to Akron and my brothers now live in California and
Singapore, I am and will be the nearest son to my parents. Using my
middle name, "Christy" helps me with this change in family
          position.

          | | I grew up in the last 40 years. I hope to grow more
in the next 40. "Christy" reminds me to behave and think in
ways I have chosen and learned instead of automatic ways left over
          from childhood. |
